Here we have our hero thinking he has a girlfriend but as soon as he turns around to meet his friends shes gone. How many of us can relate to this kind of thing, sure you probably didnt lose a girlfriend in the blink of and eye or even so fast that she left a cloud of dust but maybe you thought you had something you really didnt have in a relationship. The poor guy was probably so in love he couldnt see the forrest for the trees. All I know is I can relate to that last panel. That one hurts!
